Current Vacancies:

Each Scout Group relies on volunteers to be successful and to provide a fun, challenging programme to our youth members. Volunteering in Scouting varies depending on the role with some volunteers running weekly Scout meetings or organising a Cub camp while other volunteers have a non-uniformed role and attend three or four meetings a year or help file the Group accounts.

All these roles are vital to ensure the Scout Group operates efficiently. At 1st Daviot Oldmeldrum Scout Group, we have operated without the support of non uniformed volunteers for some time and there is a need to recruit volunteers to form an Executive Committee.

The Executive Committee meets around four times a year and supports the Group by providing good governance arrangements, fundraising, accounting and other vital tasks. These tasks have been carried out by Leaders in addition to their existing commitments, but this is not sustainable and the Group needs help!

We have the following vacancies within our Group. All of these positions are non-uniformed so there is no requirement to attend weekly Section meetings or other events. Descriptions of each role are contained in the links below and the main requirement is to attend a few meetings a year as part of the Executive and also to complete a few, short online training modules to assist you in your role.

So if you think that you fit the description below and wish to join the team in one of the vital roles below, please get in touch by email or speak to any of the Section Leaders at the regular meetings.
