19 of our Explorer Scouts and Leaders spent two weeks in July 2018 helping to build a much needed new hall at a school in Ruhanga, South West Uganda that will also be used as a Scout hut. We also volunteered at the Ruhanga Development School, helping with after-school activities. During the expedition we participated in joint activities with the local scout group based at the school. We gave as much as possible to a local community as well as developing our young people’s skills and life experiences.
